Referrals are a very important part of TRANSFAC's business development program. We have established relationships with many excellent brokers and referrals throughout the United States. Some have been with us for years, others are just starting out.
In all cases, we are happy to provide guidance and direction to help build and maintain your brokerage business.
When you have a qualified lead, you choose how closely you would like to stay involved in the due diligence process. Some brokers just turn it over to us and we develop from there, others prefer to stay more involved.
We respond very quickly in our assessment of potential deals you might bring. Our commission structure normally approximates 10 percent of the collected factoring fee for the life of that client's contractual relationship with TRANSFAC.
While we do work with brokers on an ad hoc basis who are "shopping" the market, we definitely prefer to develop exclusive relationships and we adjust the commission structure appropriately. This is generally in keeping with our philosophy of maintaining long term relationships with clients, many of whom stay with us for decades. Please know that we also routinely provide leads back on prospects that we are not in a position to take on ourselves.
